What is Sparkler Art ?

There are two types of sparkler photos that couples usually choose: Sparkler Exit and Sparkler Art.

Sparkler Art is more like sparkler painting. I’ll provide several sparkler sticks, place the camera on a tripod, and set a long shutter speed so you have time to “paint” designs or words with the sparklers. This session typically takes about 20–30 minutes, and I recommend letting me know ahead of time what you’d like to create so we can plan it smoothly.

Sparkler Exit is most often done at the very end of the reception. For example, if the last dance is at 11:00 pm, the sparkler exit usually follows right after. The DJ will ask guests to head outside and form two lines—creating a tunnel for the couple to walk through—while I photograph the moment.

If you’ve booked 8 hours of coverage and I’m not scheduled to stay until the end of the reception, we can also do a “pretend” sparkler exit during the last 30 minutes before I wrap up. Please note that you’ll need to prepare all the sparklers for all the guests and the DJ will need to announce for guests to step outside and form the tunnel.

There is a fee for sparkler photos, as they require additional time beyond standard wedding coverage. Let me know if you’re interested in either option, and I’d be happy to help plan the details. You see the example photos below:
